my vote is with Mac OSX. I've used PS on both PCs and Macs. my mac wins by a landslide. much more reliable and consistant.
I find OS X better since it has support for all editting programs and it's got a cool "mighty mouse" and there's actually built-in support for it in most programs. It just makes the interface much better.
Media = Mac OSX no question about it,
I'm an old Mac user i left Mac in the 1998 thou i was able to do graphics tricks with it (2Mb ram and 64Mhz cpu) that the newer Intel Pentium couldn't do it.
I've never used Mac before but from what I've seen about it I believe it's capabilities in media are better than Windows and Linux.

I would have to say Window XP. As a video producer, I basically use Window as my main platform. Many recommend Apple to me often but maybe I just to use to Window. Furthermore Avid, Adobe does support XP so no point in fixing in what aren't spoilt.
