Registry Mechanic 6.0
Registry Mechanic is an advanced registry cleaner for Windows that allows you to safely scan, clean, and repair registry problems with a few simple mouse clicks. Problems with the Windows Registry are a common cause of Windows crashes and error messages. By using PC tune-up utilities such as registry cleaners regularly, your system will be more stable, your software will run quicker, and your operating system will boot faster. Registry problems can occur for many reasons, including references left behind after uninstallation; incorrect removal of software; missing or corrupt hardware drivers; or orphaned start-up programs. With a few easy steps, Registry Mechanic will scan your entire registry for any invalid entries and provide a list of the errors found. You then can choose to clean each item or automatically repair them all after making a backup without the need for a registry editor such as Regedit. PC Tools products are free of spyware and adware.

Version 5.0 improves scanning speed and problem detection, includes a customizable ignore list for selective scan, and features an online Live Update facility.

Hmmmm. CCleaner is still the best for me and Tune Up Utilities 2007.
i never use registry cleaner
Smile
But i think i will use it
thanks
I never liked tools that cleaned the registry. I have never felt good about dealing with it. Having one giant file controlling everything isn't exactly foolproof.
Normally use CCleaner since it can hit multiple browsers cookies in a one stop shop.

Don't care enough about my Winbox to clean the registory but I like to know of applications I can trust to do it right. Beats doing it manually lol
Setting a system restore point before running it might be a good idea.

Hmm.. Registry Cleaner isn't new at all... I have used it for many years now and the most important thing before you run it is to create a system restore point! LOL.....

I have also used CCleaner before but Registry Cleaner is still my preferred choice.

Have fun!

Regards,
Joshua

I'll stick to Tune-Up. Has loads of applications and hasn't f**ked up my PC so far. Tongue

Hi

Is tune-up utilities 2007 worth it? I checked out their products page and it seems that it is going for USD39.99 ?

Does it really give significant performance boost after a "tune-up" ?

I have winutilities it works perfect and nice software !

Looks like it costs the same as Tune Up though.

I just took a quick check on its site and the license price is also listed as USD39.99... Seems to be the market rate.

It's mainly a cleaner, however there are a few utilities to boost the performance on your PC.

I agree with NevadaSam.. Using those tools won't assure you that it doesnt have backdoors or something.. I'm just using a good restore point on windows systems.. Smile
