What was your first PC? and configuration?
My first PC was an IBM that i believe was bought 1996, it was one of the first windows that came with a GUI so it was pretty cool back then. The specs are Pentium MMX (does anyone know if the chips of these old computers become valuable in the future) 300 Mhz (estimate, it's 300 something) about 32 MB of RAM and 2 GB of hard disk (funny how my mini is 1 10th of it's size and it's only a quarter of its capacity) about a year ago i upgraded the CD-Rom drive since it wasn't reading cd's anymore... yea that's pretty much it.

I used that somputer for a good 7 years untill I did my A+ course which after that I built my first custom built pc which is the one I am on now. This one I've been using for a good 3 years. Hopefully when i get a good paying job i'll be able to buy my dream machine, I've heard good stuff about this online brand "Alien" (something like that), I heard that they even mount the cables onto the sides of the casing so it doesn't disturb air-flow (pretty cool huh). That's all for now... To be continued.
Some random DOS terminal lol... thats all I remember.
Macintosh Classic

We gave it away in 1998 but I bought one for 20 bucks last year and have had it ever since. the best little computer ever, it has a 20MB hard drive!
It also writes floppy disks which contain a whole 1.44MB! Thats 1,440KB(round about)!

More like "Does it support serial Tongue

I still have an "upgraded" version of my first computer.

Original stats:
P1 133 (no MMX)
1GB HDD
16MB ram
Windows 95
4MB video card!

Upgraded (a year ago, thanks to school recycling program)
P1 233 (MMX)
3GB HDD
64MB ram
Windows XP Professional
ATI Rage
that configuration would be good enough to play commandos 1, i bet
Had an intel 186 processor and 40MB HDD (paid extra to have double, lol)
Ummm, dunno the specs but it had Windows 3.1 on it (though that may have been a later addition). Anyway, it was before I started school so I don't remember a whole heap Biggrin It played some sweet games Thumbup1

I wish I could've upgraded my IBM, when I broke open the casing (yes i broke it open, there was no other way of openning it) i found out that the chips were actually soldered onto the motherboard and I so wasn't going to mess up a computer which was once worth 5k so I could have an extra 1 gig hard drive.

Dude, what did you play on it, frogger? (oh wait, was that a dos game?)

nowadays we play games with CDs, like FFVIII - the last FF series i played - which had 8 CDs in total = around 5gigs
when i had the first 386, my games were stored on floppy disk 5.25" Laugh, terrible!

i believe i had an ibm. my brother-in-law gave it to me. i trashed it because it kept giving me the bsod. windows 95. still dont know how to play that damn hearts game.
