I just bought a VPS with eUKhost Ltd and it is truely amazing - I have never seen such WHM features - I am glad I bought it. I'm going to use this to host some clients sites as well as my own sites and some friends sites. Anyway, the VPS I have costs £19.00 but no surprise as its extremely expensive in the UK. But I heard VPS' and dedi's are expensive in Australia?

yh the uk ones are quite expensive but you could have bought a US one even though you live in the UK.

the ZC servers are all in the US i beleive

Good for you. They are awesome. Smile

What specifications does your VPS have?
Not much yet, will be upgrading when needed.

  • 265MB RAM, 1GB Burstable (burstablity is quite good actually)
  • 15GB Disk Space
  • 300GB Monthly Bandwidth
  • cPanel Linux RedHat (Virtuozzo WHM)

Again, not big specs, not needed yet Smile. The main domain on the VPS is http://www.zoomtemplates.net. The VPS is mainly for my clients and my sites. My main priority right now is to get my sites up but I tried moving the MyBB forum to the index but I lost MySQL data... so having to start all over again. Seriously though, I don't know why I have stuck to resellers so long... VPS' are awesome.

How did you lose your MySQL data?

Yeah that's me on FWS - bnckb. Well for SEO purposes I wanted the MyBB forum in the index, tried moving it but lost the MySQL data for some reason as all the tables within were rewritten. Theres errors on the bloody forum now so I'm going to have to re-install the whole forum with a new database Sad.

Patience is a virtue a wise-man says - not for me in this case Wink.

You didn't have any backup? Backups are always advisable as you never know what might happen.

Just out of curiosity, what errors did you get?

PHP errors, well they weren't really MySQL errors but something to do with MySQL. I had a backup but couldn't be arsed to use it at the time Tongue. Just wanted to get the site up lol.

I see. Smile Well I take it that you didn't lose too much data as you couldn't be bothered with the backup. Tongue
