The font that has graced many a report and flyer is gone. In Microsoft's upcoming Office 2007, It has been replaced by Calibri.

Calibri:

What do you think?
Looks great, just because of this thread, I went to download the new font sets.Biggrin

Lemme see, what are the font sets? Calibri, Cambria, Candara, Consolas, Constantia and Corbel, yup thats all.
It looks a lot better than Times New Roman, I'm so sick of that font Tongue
I downloaded the new office beta. I just downloaded Times New Roman off the net. It's free so why not.
I never liked TNR, I prefer Arial myself, but the new font looks nice.
Agreed, this also means that at college it's easier. All the teachers go on about if it's 12pt TNR then they fail because no design has been put in, hopefully when they upgrade they won't realise Tongue
Just about time to let go of Times New Roman! I have been using Verdana anyway. But this new font looks fine to me too..

I find sans serif fonts are easier to read.
What is a good place to download the above fonts without downlaoding Office 2007?

Try Googling around. Just type download calibri in google to get alot of results. That was what I typed anyway.

Am quite careful with google. It gives you so many sites to choose from. Once I downloaded a font with spyware attached to the zip. Where did I get the link? Google. That's why I asked for a link from someone who has used a particular site and had no problems. Thanks.
Hey how can you get this for linux?
Like many many other people, I never liked Times New Roman.

Long live Palatino Linotype,it exists for every Operating system too, and comes standard with all OS, (Im not sure about linux)
Yes, I seldom use such words now.
I dont think anyone liked Times New Roman at all Wink Maybe because we got tired of it and wanted something different. Besides, it doesnt look modern anymore.. Calibri looks like a combined modern, professional and stylish font.
