do you remember the filseclab free firewall several years back? the company actually produce an AV that is being used by the chinese gov, that is why it almost no review on the AV (for national security reason).

i just stumble upon the forum discussion in a forum that has several official AV support subforum about this AV and the AV actually have glowing result there
they said:

Quote:
it has the lightness of nod32, the detection of avira and the something of kav.
so far the good thigs are:
- great detection for malware head to head with avira.
- behavior scan (more like HIPS).
- registry tweaks.
- windows fix.
- light, 35 mb to 48 mb ram peak usage, with less cpu usage.
- lifetime license for application and update.
- under 24h support e-mail response.

bad:
- high usage of page file, increasing when scanning only, can take >100mb of page file space).
- can cause bsod on very few system when scanning. but most computer is not experiencing this.
- no forum for support.
- no mail scan, but can detect once the file saved to disk.

oh and the website is: http://www.filseclab.com
have any saying on these? i still test bedding the trial now...

How did your test go? Does it provide real time protection and free updates?

Zac
i just installed it last week.
has not conflicted with my spyware terminator (but i turn it off now).
has cpu resource slider when scanning, so we can adjust hw much cpu usage will the av have during the scan.
first i would like to talk about the license,
once in 2005 it was a 1 year subscription, but now it is a lifetime subscription for us$29.99.
for trial, you will have a default 30 days, but if you put in the license keys provided in download section, you'll have a 90 days trial.
while in trial all update seems working fine, and fast.
here is the highlight of malware detection scheme:
crack tool, hack tool, packed, adware, dialer, joker, key recorder, remote control, spyware.

and here is the log result (something undetected with eset nod32 6.40 trial), some of the result are false positive:

and here some extra tools to fix windows:

one very minus about twister is it takes too long to scan archive file, because it first extract the files then scan all.

and from googling here are the 11 pages forum thread that reviewing the twister av: wilders forum
