Don't make your mobile site in WAP.Its an obsolete language now.Try xhtml without any fancy formatting. It'll be better.
iPhone does not support WAP. Also opera mobile has problems displaying wap. So its better switching to xhtml. I made it for my site. Its quite easy!
WAP is definitely a dieing technology. It's like buying a betamax.
