Turtle Beach Ear Force AK-R8 3.5mm/ USB Connector Circumaural Professional Surround Sound Gaming Headphone System

I am planning a slightly different upgrade model than I had in mind recently. With the new 45 watt TDP processors from AMD, I am interested in getting a decent surround sound system. and by decent I mean cheap and without all them loud speakers around the room.

This USB sound card and 8 speaker 5.1 channel headset seems perfect for my wants. (movies and quiet gaming mainly).

I do not see enough user reviews yet to really have an opinion. So far the professional review sites give it great marks.

I want a good idea of the potential downsides of this setup versus a sound card if any?
