Hi,

I'd like to store the most common phrases of my website in separate language files. how can I do that?

You mean you want to make a function file and store all the functions there, then just call the function file in the rest of your scripts?

or you can use database...
like table languages with the fields like english, spanish,italian, etc...
something like zoomfish component in joomla....
